Hostal Santa Maria - Cacabelos (Leon)

The hot water was amazing, but the check-in process was confusing.

Make sure you stay in the double room with good WiFi. Overall the staff is pleasant.

The location was central, near to a couple good restaurants and the old church of Santa Maria which is worth a 10 minute visit, the church and Camino, and the centre of the town. The stuff were exceptionally nice and amicable and know their duties. Thoroughly enjoyed staying at the guest room with good wifi.

The warm welcome with a complimentary glass of wine was good. The accommodation was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped.

Some street noise was disruptive.

The room was air-conditioned and new-fashioned with good wifi, and I slept very well. The location near the cathedral was marvellous.

The self-service kitchen was a convenient extra touch.

The check-in process was confusing and time-consuming. I had to walk back and forth between locations just to collect the keys, frustrating after a long day. The shower hose and a bedside lamp were broken when I arrived, made the room less comfortable than expected.

What a gem! I loved the common kitchen area for making meals and having breakfast at my convenience. The self-service laundry was a lifesaver. On the downside, there was some noise from the street outside that made it hard to find peace at times. I'd definitely return!

Staying here with my wife and our two teens was really fun! The easy access to nearby restaurants and a quick stroll to the old church made evenings enjoyable. The staff greeted us warmly with a glass of wine.

My wife says that the lack of extra blankets made it uncomfortable at night.

The hostal santa maria was a pleasant surprise. The common area was spacious, and having a kitchen available was a nice touch. The location was great, only a short walk to good restaurants and the beautiful old church.
